WASHINGTON, April 5 -- According to Agence France-Presse reported that the South Korean eastern bush fire last night, there are already 1,800 people were evacuated.
Officials said the fire occurred at a place away from the capital Seoul, 200 km east of a shrub forest. Strong winds through the fire quickly spread to nearby villages. Now thousands of firemen and soldiers are team of firefighters.
The local fire department said that the evacuation of the crowd, at least 1,100 people are local residents, 700 are boarders local university students.
"In our fight against major fire, the fire burned more than 10 houses, but there were no casualties," a local official said.
He said authorities have dispatched 180 fire engines and 15 helicopters, but the fire scene with the strong winds and dry climate affected the fire effects.
